CGArchitect and 3DATS, a publisher of 3ds Max architectural books, are raising money to help a group of 12 disabled war veterans travel to the Himalayas and climb one of two summits. Any 3DATS product you buy on the CGArchitect site before October 13 will be 50% off, and all proceeds will go to Soldiers to the Summit.
The eight men and three women in the expedition have served in the Army, Air Force and Marines and have disabilities that include amputated legs and post-traumatic stress disorder. Some will be climbing to the summit of Lobuche at 20,000 feet, while others are heading to the summit of Kala Pattar at 18, 500 feet.
World TEAM Sports, a Colorado-based non-profit organization that showcases the achievements of disabled athletes, is organizing the expedition. TurboSquid applauds CGArchitect and 3DATS for supporting this effort.
