DeLonna Scott 3D Modeling, Artists, Contests

Dystopia/Utopia” was our second 3D art challenge, and we received so many thought-provoking images that our panel of judges certainly had their work cut out for them. We’d like to give a huge thank you to everyone who participated, and we’re delighted to share the winners of this year’s TurboSquid art competition!

1st place – Glen Johnson

1st place winnerGlen’s prize-winning masterpiece is breathtaking and seems to be a perfect blend of dystopian and utopian elements. You can view more of Glen’s work at his Artstation, Sketchfab, and YouTube accounts.

2nd place – Chris Matthews

2nd Place WinnerChris’s creation appears, at first glance, to be a cozy, inviting utopia for one. Looking closer, the setting under a giant robotic hand infers a bleak history of what came before this scene. While dystopian themes are hardly ever described as cozy, we think Chris did a fantastic job of hitting that mark. You can view his work on Behance.
