We received hundreds of submissions for our first ever TurboSquid scholarship, and it was tough to decide on a winner. We are very happy to announce today that the TurboSquid 2017 Spring Scholarship award winner is Alex Garza!
Alex is currently attending the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, where he is majoring in animation and digital arts. Alex’s studies in animation allowed him to really get specific about our topic of “The Importance of Diversity in the 3D Industry.”
- Alex was also able to include highly personal examples and stories in his essay, which really resonated with our internal judges. The TurboSquid team is very excited to award this scholarship to Alex, and we’re also excited to watch where his career in animation goes in the upcoming years.
